Training and Support have been the core functions of Janvikas since its inception. Initially this was executed by the two founder members. Primary role of Javikas has been to incubate and build issue based institutions with relevance to society in response to emerging socio-eco-political realities. So far Janvikas has built 17 such institutions on issues/themes of women’s empowerment, ecology & sustainable development, Dalit, youth, primary education, internally displaced due to communal violence, enviro legal, media & human rights, law & social justice etc. Janvikas has also co-founded National level networks to promote collective efforts, learn & share from each other’s experiences on themes of Youth, Education, Dalits, Para legal studies, Community media etc.
